Delegate Sales Executive

Overview

Russell Publishing is looking for a determined and highly organised delegate sales person to sell across our event portfolio, this opportunity can be applied for as a part time (working a minimum of 18 hours per week) or a full time position.

The main purpose of the role is to generate sales and bookings, through cold-calling and follow up of in-coming leads.

The candidate must be extremely organised and able to keep track of their prospects using an accurate forecast.

Ideal candidates could be a business undergraduate or similar wanting to gain an insight into both sales and marketing.

You will be working on established b2b industry events aimed at the top third of the management pyramid communicating with C-suite/ senior level directors.

Job purpose

In line with the overall objectives set by the Head of Events you will embark on a sales campaign to achieve targets for each event. This will be done through a combination of activities including use of the telephone, social media, face-to-face and converting incoming enquiries.

  • A quick learner with intellectual curiosity and who is able to understand different markets and subject matter quickly

Main Duties

  • Achieving sales targets across a number of events
  • Relationship building and strong communication skills are essential
  • Ability to research your own prospects through LinkedIn and other online channels to build a comprehensive sales pipeline. Using our CRM system to enhance existing relationships and develop new ones
  • Maintaining and growing your knowledge of your market, clients and developments in the market sector
  • To represent the brands at all times, through both verbal and written communication
