Events Senior Content Producer

Job Purpose

Leading the conference production for live and digital events within the Transport portfolio of brands. Managing freelance production for Science & Food portfolio. Keep abreast of all industry developments to ensure relevant topic generation and to support the launch of new content driven events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct and write high quality content-driven programmes thorough desktop, telephone and face to face research
  • Identify and secure the participation of industry and thought leaders across the business sectors
  • Liaise with sponsorship & delegate sales teams to assist with the generation of revenue for each event
  • Work closely with the brand editorial/content teams to share intelligence and ensure cohesive messaging
  • Ensure all production deadlines and profit targets are met
  • Conduct competitor research and analysis working with the Head of Events to research new gaps in the market and new business opportunities
  • Identify, develop and maintain relationships with key industry contacts
  • Manage relationships and ensure regular communications with conference speakers
  • Build and maintain industry contacts and ensure they are updated on the corporate CRM system
  • Work with the Head of Events to identify any content opportunities for new events/conferences in which the Company may become profitably involved

Skills and Experience Required

Skills / Qualifications / Experience

At least 3 years’ content production experience with a minimum of 1 year within the relevant sector

  • Degree level educated
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, both written and oral
  • High attention to detail, flexibility and the ability to prioritise and work under pressure to meet targets
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills, with flexibility to adapt to change
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate others in and outside the events function
  • Excellent content writing and proof-reading skills
  • Commercial acumen and business awareness
  • IT skills in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
